Additional Information Fethiye dates back to the 6th century BC and boasts a Roman Amphitheatre and Turkish baths in the town centre. The old town is a maze of narrow streets bustling with bazaars, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Shopping in Fethiye is extremely competitive so make sure you're ready to barter for the best price. The town was once a Lycian city and traces of the ancient settlement can be found around the town, including the magnificent rock tombs on the face of the cliff east of the town.
